The Irish Music Festival is being held to celebrate the most popular and the well known Irish National Day - "St. Patrick´s Day". It is celebrated in many ways - from festive marches, Irish music and Dance to dressing in green as well as colouring everything and anything including beer to green

The Festival starts on the 15th March in Caffrey's Irish Bar, Staromestské nám.10. and James Joyce The Irish Pub, U Obecního dvora 4.

We would like to introduce - Celtic Whisper (Limerick) - a flashback to the ballad days with your favourites for the 10th year - you can't resist them so we just must bring them back.

This year we bring a new twist to our Festival and are proud to introduce Munster Rugby Supporters Choir.The MRSC was founded in 2008 in Munster, a province of Ireland renowned for its sporting heritage. It comprises 50 members from all over the province & first performed at the official opening of Thomond Park, the true home of Irish Rugby, before Munsters game against the New Zealand All Blacks.

Since then the choir has performed before most of Munsters major games. They have appeared on Ireland's most popular television show, the Late Late Show, on several radio shows & they performed for the opening ceremony of the Special Olympic Games.

In Prague they will delight the audience with many famous Irish Songs old & new under the musical direction of Anita Mahon.


Dave Morrissey & The Studio 65 - Dave Morrissey is fast becoming a well known singer/songwriter on the Irish music scene since releasing his debut album 'Bring Out The Light' and following singles 'Butterfly' and 'Red Moon'. Having toured Ireland and the Uk several times now, Dave is gathering a steady fanbase and his live performances have truely set him aside from most other acoustic acts because of his crafted stage presence and relationship with every audience no matter what size.

Now comes the next level with his newly formed band 'Studio 65' who are getting set to tour in 2012 for the festival season and beyond. A six piece outfit that is set to light up stages all over Europe, the line up consists of Dave Morrissey,Maria O'Regan,Frank McNally,Alan Ryan,Adrian Robinson and Omar Mahfoud. This band is the brainchild of Dave's and was formed strategically with the right people to blend his songs together from acoustic to the full large stage sound for bigger venues. Aslan - The legendary Irish Band are celebrating 30 years together. Aslan have packed venues in Ireland, Australia, the USA, the Uk & Germany for many years and now for the first time they visit Prague.

During their long recording & performing career Aslan have enjoyed huge success- 1 triple Platinum Album, 2 Double Platinum Albums, & 3 platinum albums alongside a string of hit singles. They have topped the Irish charts on many occasions keeping artists like Enimem & Kylie Minogue off the top spot!

They have recently toured the UK & Australia to sell out houses & rapturous receptions. Their recording success is well documented but it is in their live performances that Aslan truly shine. The ability to involve & excite the audience is almost unrivaled & fans always leave Aslan gigs with a feeling of sheer exhilaration. This year they celebrate 30 years together & soon Aslan, the Platinum Collection will be released. Their last album Aslan Uncased featured many of their classics alongside great cover versions of well known songs from other artists.
